Wild Things Farm Summer Day Camps

Wild Things Farm Summer Day Camps
Session 1: June 1-5; Session 2: June 8-12. Open to kids between ages of 6 and 11. Learn about animal care, the processes of farming, from seed germination to harvesting, soil, good and bad bugs, and more. Hands-on activities include making bird houses, garden markers, seed tapes and salad bowls. Treasure hunt, fishing and cookout on final day. $150/child for week.

Boy Scouts

Cub Scouting (age 8-11) is another word for "doing." Boy Scouting (ages 11-18) is a leadership building program that focuses on the outdoors, camping and learning life skills while having fun.

Learn about Boy Scouting at The Hembree Scout Center, 1401 Old Greenwood Road. A Boy Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, brave, clean and reverent. If you want these values for your son, this club is for you. Call 479-782-7244.

Boys in grades 1-5 learn all about Bugs at the Boy Scout Twilight Camp: American Heroes on June 22-26 from 5:30-9pm at Columbus Acres. Plenty of games and activities. Cost before May 30 - $45. Girls Inc.

2009 Summer Program

Inc. provides educational programming during the summer months, 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. daily. Our programming schedule includes economic literacy, technology, science, math, media literacy, physically fitness, arts & crafts, cooking, community services opportunities, out-of-center trips, and other fun activities. We also have developed partnerships with First Tee, First Serve, and Western Arkansas Ballet to provide additional programs that the girls always enjoy.

Our 2009 Summer Program runs June 1 through July 24, and concludes with Summer Camp from July 24-August 1. Camp is offered at the end of the summer to a limited number of girls on a first-come, first served basis.

Meals are provided free of charge by Consilidated Community Development.
