Try this treat perfect for Valentine's, or just about any special occasion from crazydomestic.com:
1 recipe chocolate ganache (Here's one from Allrecipes.com)
1 recipe simple buttercream (Here's one from Foodnetwork.com)
1 box mix or homemade recipe for a dozen chocolate or strawberry cupcakes
12 strawberries
Plain round decorating tip and piping bag
1. While your cupcakes are cooling prep the chocolate ganache. After cupcakes have cooled completely, hold your cupcake upside down and dip in chocolate. Refrigerate dipped cupcakes for 20 minutes.
2. Prepare your buttercream. Fit a piping bag with a plain round decorating tip and fill with buttercream. Remove cupcakes from refrigerator and pip delicious cloud of frosting onto the chocolate dipped cakes.
3. Clean and dip your strawberries in the chocolate ganache. Before placing the strawberries on top of your cupcake, drizzle a little chocolate over the top of your buttercream. This will help keep your strawberry more secure.
4. Gently place the dipped strawberry into the buttercream. Refrigerate finished cupcakes.
