Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia returns to Northwest Arkansas for another of their spectacular black light shows! The triple-bill includes the wonderful story of THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR's metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly; the fanciful account of LITTLE CLOUD's travels through the sky, and the MIXED-UP CHAMELEON's discovery of his own unique nature. The whimsical tales have enchanted several generations, and Mermaid's acclaimed stage adaptation teaches as well as entertains.

Easy Beaded Bracelet
by Julie Jones (a.k.a. creative genius)

For this project you will need:

- Large colorful plastic or wooden beads
- Ribbon
- Scissors

Step 1: Cut a piece of ribbon a few inches longer than the circumference of your wrist (or neck if you want to make a necklace).

Step 2: Fold the ribbon in half and tie a knot, so that the knot is now in the middle of the ribbon.

Step 3:
String a bead onto the ribbon, so that it touches the knot.

Step 4:
Tie another knot to hold the bead in place.

Step 5:
String another bead and tie another knot.

Step 6:
Continue doing this until you have the desired number of beads on the necklace or bracelet.

Step 7:
Tie a bow at the end of the string of beads to finish off the bracelet or necklace.

This is a fun craft for kids and adults. I like the fact that when my daughter is doing it, she is having fun and working on her motor skills at the same time. It helps to dab a little bit of Fray Check onto the end of the ribbon to prevent it from fraying as you work. You can find Fray Check at Wal-Mart or any sewing store.
