TEXT OF EMAIL TO MY HUSBAND WHO IS IN BRAZIL FOR 10 DAYS WITHOUT ACCESS TO A PHONE
We're fine. Your daughter was mildly concerned last night when she realized she couldn't give you her standard goodnight hug, kiss and head bonk yet again, but seemed resigned. From our conversation this morning:
Me: I'm writing a message to Daddy. Is there anything you want me to tell him?
Her: Uh-huh. (Rides bicycle around dining table)
Me: Want me to tell him you miss him?
Her: No.
Me: Okay, want me to tell him you love him?
Her: Yes.
Me: Anything else?
Her: Nana! (circling on the bike, chasing the dog)
Me: You want a banana?
Her: Yes.
So I gave her one of ours. You don't need to bring her a banana.
Your dog, on the other hand, may need therapy. I gave her a pair of your pajamas to sleep on, and that seemed to help.
I'm glad to hear that it's been a good experience, despite the distance. Looking forward to seeing your pictures. I'm somewhere on the spectrum between your daughter and your dog, but I haven't resorted to sleeping with your pajamas. Yet.
